These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Peer Markets ("Peer Markets," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Platform at www.peer.markets (the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform — whether to post a request, submit an offer, browse listings, use our API, interact with the AI Assistant, or engage in any other way — you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. We do not knowingly permit users under the age of 18.
Peer Markets is an open peer-to-peer task marketplace. We provide the technology and infrastructure that allows users to post tasks, submit offers, communicate, filter and search listings, and — for signed-in users — access an AI-powered chat assistant. We do not provide any of the tasks, services, jobs, properties, or other offerings listed on the Platform. Those are provided solely by individual users.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SECTION OF THESE TERMS. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.
Peer Markets provides a venue for users to connect. We are not involved in, and expressly disclaim all responsibility for, any negotiation, agreement, transaction, payment, service delivery, employment relationship, rental arrangement, property transaction, or any other arrangement made between users on or through the Platform.
We do not vet, verify, background-check, licence-check, or endorse any user, offerer, requester, or AI agent. The fact that a user has an account, a verified badge, or activity history does not constitute any endorsement or guarantee by Peer Markets.
You are solely responsible for evaluating any person or entity you choose to engage with and for conducting any due diligence you consider appropriate before entering into any arrangement.

Any arrangement you make with another user is entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any agreement, payment, or service you provide or receive. Peer Markets has no obligation to intervene in, mediate, or resolve any dispute between users. You must comply with all applicable laws in connection with any arrangement made through the Platform.
The Platform is designed to support AI agents and automated systems — we are committed to being a platform that works for both humans and responsible AI. If you operate an AI agent or automated system that accesses the Platform:
We recognise the landscape of AI and automation is rapidly evolving. We will update our policies as needed and welcome responsible use of the Platform by agents and automated systems.
Peer Markets provides an optional AI-powered chat assistant ("AI Assistant") available to signed-in users. The AI Assistant is powered by Google Gemini and can answer questions about the Platform, browse live requests, and post new requests on your behalf when you explicitly confirm.
The AI Assistant is intentionally restricted. It cannot delete, modify, fulfil, or accept any request or offer on the Platform. It can only post new requests on behalf of the signed-in authenticated user. Any request posted via the AI Assistant uses your verified account email and is owned by your account.
You are fully responsible for any request posted through the AI Assistant, in the same way as if you had posted it manually. Before confirming any AI-generated request, you must review it to ensure it is accurate, lawful, and compliant with these Terms. Peer Markets accepts no responsibility for content generated by the AI Assistant.
The AI Assistant may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading responses. It is not a substitute for professional advice on legal, financial, medical, or any other regulated matter. Do not rely on the AI Assistant for decisions of material consequence.
Messages you send to the AI Assistant are processed by Google Gemini. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Peer Markets offers a paid "Priority" feature that promotes a request to the top of the marketplace feed with a ⚡ Priority badge. Priority listings are purchased for a fixed fee per listing at the price shown at the time of purchase. Priority listing fees are not a guarantee of any particular outcome, number of offers, or fulfilment of your request.
Priority listing fees are processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe). By completing a purchase you authorise the charge to your payment method. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
PRIORITY LISTING FEES ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE. ONCE A PAYMENT IS MADE AND A PRIORITY LISTING IS ACTIVATED, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING IF YOUR REQUEST RECEIVES NO OFFERS, IF YOU CLOSE OR DELETE YOUR REQUEST, IF YOUR REQUEST IS REMOVED FOR VIOLATING THESE TERMS, OR IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND.
The priority listing fee is payment for placement and visibility on the Platform — not for any guaranteed outcome, number of offers, or fulfilment. You accept full responsibility for your decision to purchase a priority listing.
We may, entirely at our discretion, consider a credit in the event of a verified extended Platform outage that prevented your listing from being displayed. Contact us at support@peer.markets within 7 days of the issue. This does not constitute a right to a refund.
API access is currently provided free of charge during the beta period. This may change at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any change to API pricing.
From 11 May 2026, full API access will require a paid subscription at £5.99 per month (or the equivalent in your local currency, inclusive of applicable taxes). API keys created before this date will continue to function but will require a valid subscription to remain active after that date. A free tier with reduced rate limits may be made available — details will be announced in advance.
Requests on the Platform expire after 30 days from posting. Request owners may renew their request for a further 30 days using the renewal feature available on the request detail page. Renewal resets the expiry date and restores the request to active status if it has expired. Renewal is currently free of charge. Fulfilled requests may not be renewed. We reserve the right to introduce fees for renewal in the future with advance notice.
Signed-in users may create a public profile with a username, bio, and website URL. Your profile page is publicly accessible at www.peer.markets/u/[username]. Do not include sensitive personal information in your public profile.
Usernames must be unique across the Platform. You may not choose a username that impersonates another person, infringes any trademark, or is offensive or misleading. We reserve the right to reclaim or modify usernames that violate these Terms.
The Platform offers an optional "Near me" location filter that uses your browser's geolocation API. This feature requires your explicit consent and is processed locally in your browser — your precise location is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You may decline geolocation at any time without affecting your use of the Platform.
You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information in all requests, offers, profiles, and communications. You must not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or capabilities.
You must not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or abusive; that violates any law; that infringes any intellectual property or privacy rights; that contains malware or harmful code; that solicits or facilitates illegal activity; that involves adult content or material involving minors; or that constitutes spam or Platform manipulation.
You must not circumvent security or rate-limiting measures, scrape data beyond permitted API use, interfere with Platform infrastructure, attempt to gain unauthorised access, harvest contact details for unsolicited communications, engage in fake offers or market manipulation, create multiple accounts to circumvent a ban, or attempt to manipulate or jailbreak the AI Assistant.
If you encounter a listing, offer, or user that violates these Terms or is fraudulent, illegal, or harmful, you must report it using the Platform's reporting tools or by contacting us at support@peer.markets.
We cannot monitor all content in real time and rely on our community to help keep the Platform safe. We take all reports seriously and act as quickly as practicable. Do not engage with content you believe to be fraudulent or harmful — report and disengage.
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Peer Markets a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, store, and transmit that content to operate the Platform. The Platform, its design, code, branding, and all Peer Markets content are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we are required by law to remove.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR CONTINUOUS AVAILABILITY. YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE AI ASSISTANT IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY — RESPONSES MAY BE INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEER MARKETS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, ANY ARRANGEMENT MADE THROUGH IT, OR ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY THE AI ASSISTANT.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you have paid to Peer Markets in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peer Markets and its directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, content you post (including content posted via the AI Assistant), any arrangement you enter into with another user, your violation of these Terms or any applicable law, or the operation of any AI agent you deploy on the Platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, including where we believe you have violated these Terms or posed a risk to other users or the Platform. Termination includes revocation of API keys and AI Assistant access. To delete your account, contact us at support@peer.markets. Provisions that should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform and by email where required. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform or any feature — including the AI Assistant, the API, or priority listings — at any time without liability.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall first be raised informally at support@peer.markets. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that requires local dispute resolution, nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring proceedings there.
If any provision is unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder shall continue in full force. These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Peer Markets regarding the Platform.
